Residence on Wilmington Island, Georgia - 2011 Merit Award

Greenline Architecture

With a spectacular site and views to the southwest of the Wilmington River, the home owner wanted to maximize views and capture the sea breezes available on this site.  They also wanted a traditional house, but did not provide any period or stylistic direction to the architects other than that they much admired the colonial architecture of the Caribbean Islands.  The estate includes 18,000‐square‐feet of living area – the main house, two guest cottages, a historic 1930’s dock house and expansive grounds.
